Canada's financial services sector is among the most competitive in the world and is highly successful
internationally. For example, Manulife's insurance sales in Japan have been growing at an average rate
of 23 percent per year for the last decade and in 2015 their Asian operations experienced the third
consecutive year of record insurance sales

region, where the net income grew from $174 million to $252 million in 2015.
